Fly fishing legend Gary Borger will be conducting a unique fly fishing clinic for GSF on Saturday, October 20 from 10 am-4 pm in Solana Beach. The cost will be $60 and class size will be limited. Registration will be first come, first served, so be sure to sign up ASAP by contacting Steve Piper at scpiper@ucsd.edu, 858-534-4230 ext 15 to reserve your spot. The clinic will include hands-on instruction on fly casting and fly tying, and Powerpoint presentations on a variety of topics, including but not limited to little-known tricks for reading the water, stalking fish, designing flies, and presenting the fly. Gary has been a fly fisher since 1955 and a fly fishing instructor since 1972, and the content of this clinic will be one-of-a-kind, unique, and well worth learning about.
